Open staircase Vista Project

“Vista Project” Open Staircase – Contemporary architecture between materiality and light.

Created for the Vista Project in Bagnolo Cremasco, this open staircase stands out for its essential yet material-driven design, seamlessly integrated into a striking contemporary architectural setting.

The structure is built from natural metal, crafted with precision. The continuous tread and riser create a ribbon-like effect—solid, compact, and elegant—leading the eye naturally upwards. The side stringer, which also serves as a closed parapet, is made of the same metal and features decorative vertical slits that lighten the structure visually while maintaining its sculptural presence. An integrated handrail follows the ascent with clean, understated lines.

To enhance brightness and openness, glass balustrades recessed into the floor allow natural light to permeate the space without visual interruption. Metal slab coverings complete the project, creating a consistent material palette and reinforcing the architectural identity of the design.

This staircase transforms raw material into architectural expression, becoming a central element in the visual narrative of the space.
